In early October, Neuromind participated in the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) 2024 congress in Chicago, a key event in global neuroscience. Anton Filipchuk, Head of Scientific Research, presented a scientific poster, and a demonstration of our solution was held at the Brain Product booth. This event was a unique opportunity to share our advancements with the scientific community and explore future collaborations. How did this popular event go, and what exactly did we present? We take you behind the scenes.

The Society for Neuroscience annual meeting: A hub for innovation and collaboration
The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) annual meeting is the world’s largest gathering dedicated to neuroscience research and innovation. Held every year in major cities across the United States, this prestigious event brings together over 30,000 neuroscientists, clinicians, and industry professionals from around the globe. The 2024 edition took place in Chicago from October 5 to 9, and we were delighted to be a part of it.
A platform for scientific advancement
The SfN conference serves as a vital platform for presenting groundbreaking research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and discussing the latest trends in neuroscience. Scientists and experts share their discoveries through poster presentations, symposia, keynote lectures, and hands-on workshops covering topics such as brain function, neurological disorders, cognitive sciences, and emerging technologies.
Bridging research and industry
Beyond academia, the event plays a crucial role in connecting researchers with industry leaders, medical professionals, and technology providers. It offers unparalleled networking opportunities, allowing companies to showcase their latest innovations, from neuroimaging tools and artificial intelligence applications to cutting-edge therapeutic solutions.

Neuromind: A revolutionary approach to mental health
Neuromind’s research focuses on the Default Mode Network (DMN), often deregulated in conditions such as depression, anxiety, and Alzheimer’s disease. Traditional mindfulness-based therapies have proven effective in regulating the DMN, but they often require specialized expertise and long-term practice.
Neuromind’s home-based VR tool aims to democratize access to these therapies, providing an accessible, science-backed solution that allows users to induce and maintain mindfulness states through real-time emotional regulation. The technology’s validation through neurophysiological data makes it a promising innovation for clinical and research settings.
Presenting Neuromind at SfN: Why does it matter?
Attending the SfN conference is an opportunity to stay at the forefront of neuroscience advancements. It fosters dialogue between researchers and industry players, shaping the future of neuroscience and its real-world applications in medicine, mental health, and beyond.
In that context, we were thrilled to present our latest prototype at such a prestigious event. This global gathering of neuroscience professionals provided the perfect platform to share our innovation with the scientific community.
A scientific poster presenting the scientific research behind our project was displayed to researchers on October 6. In collaboration with our partner, Brain Products, we also conducted live demonstrations at their booth on October 8, showcasing the potential of our technology to address critical challenges in neuroscience.

Fusion of virtual reality and wearable real-time EEG neurofeedback for mindfulness meditation enhancement: an accessible neuromodulation tool. Full poster accessible here.
The SfN congress was an incredible opportunity for Neuromind to share its vision and connect with the global neuroscience community. The valuable feedback and insights gained during the event will fuel further advancements in the project.
We remain committed to pushing the boundaries of neuroscience and digital health, and look forward to future collaborations that will help bring this transformative technology to those who need it most. For more details or to get in touch with our team, please contact us here.
